Legal Information

The Rushford Historical Society operates under a Provisional Charter from the New York State Department of Education. We have met all conditions to obtain our permanent charter and hope to do so within a year. In addition, the Society is 503c compliant with the IRS and is exempt under New York State. The Rushford Historical Society is an active part of the Rushford Community and Allegany County. The mission is to promote local history and serve as an educational source to the surrounding area and to tourists passing through.
