Latest News for 2008
In 2007, the Society undertook a major fund raising of $20,000 through contributions and grants. This goal has been met and necessary repairs to the buildings will be made. At the present the Museum building has a new roof and will be repainted this summer of 2008. The Red School located on Lewellen St. has minor repairs and will be completed also this summer. The Blacksmith Shop is undergoing major renovation and will be fully functional during Labor Day 2008.
The Rushford Historical Society is boosting awareness by advertising with road signs and on the world wide web.
The main goal for The Rushford Historical Society is to have a history in place for the future Rushford and Allegheny County residents. The Society also plans to work with tourism in the area.
